Roy, a Partner in the Brown Smith Wallace Tax Services group, is responsible for maintaining quality control, monitoring current tax developments and maintaining systems to ensure that clients receive accurate, timely tax service. Working with individuals, closely-held corporations, nonprofit entities, family groups, partnerships and trusts, he specializes in:
- Tax planning and compliance
- Business consulting
- Personal financial planning
In addition, Roy works closely with the Brown Smith Wallace Transaction Advisory and Litigation Support practice, providing substantial input in the area of divorce taxation. He was the first CPA in the state of Missouri to have achieved both the CPA designation and the CDFA and CDS designations.
In addition to his role as a member in the Tax Group, Roy is also a National Social Security Advisor (NSSA) and Personal Financial Planning Specialist (PFS). He has authored several articles and is a frequent speaker on tax and financial issues.
A licensed CPA, Roy earned his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Missouri-Columbia and is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Missouri Society of CPAs. His current community involvement includes:
