Marggie is a Manager in the Transaction Advisory and Litigation Support (TALS) Services practice at Brown Smith Wallace. She joined the firm as an intern in 2011 and rejoined in July 2012 after completing her degree.
Marggie has vast experience assisting with merger and acquisition consulting engagements. Her expertise on transaction advisory engagement experience includes due diligence, quality of earnings, working capital disputes and post-closing opening balance sheet analysis for public and private companies, including global transactions.
Marggie also serves on various types of financial analysis engagements. Her experience includes conducting business valuations for mergers and acquisitions, marital dissolution purposes, gift and estate tax planning, and financial reporting purposes. Throughout these engagements, Marggie performs industry, economic and company specific research to support her conclusions.
Before joining the TALS practice, Marggie served in the firm’s Insurance Advisory Services practice, where she audited regulated entities and evaluated the design and effectiveness of internal controls. Marggie has worked with many regulated entities performing audits under U.S. GAAP and the Statutory Basis of Accounting.
Marggie is a licensed CPA, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). Marggie is a graduate of University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Missouri Society of CPAs (MOCPA) and the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA). Marggie serves as a board member for Champions for Children, the young professionals board of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals of Greater St. Louis.
