Q&A

Q. What is the toughest decision you have ever made?
When I had my first child, I felt like I needed to choose between my family and my career. The leadership at my firm was supportive and worked with me so I could continue working and be the mom I wanted to be. The experience made me passionate about advocating for other women to give them the same support and flexibility I was given.
Q. Without naming names, tell us about your favorite client and why you enjoyed working with them.
They’re a growing organization with a strong sense of team. The way they treat one another and the way they get the best out of everyone is something I admire. They never hesitate to reach out for our guidance or our opinion. We’re helping them build their foundation at every stage of their growth — it’s amazing.
Q. Please tell us one fun fact about yourself.
I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 27 years and am the oldest of seven.
Q. What’s your proudest moment?
My daughter recently graduated nursing school. She knew how much dedication and time it took to become a nurse and she never quit. I admire her taking care of people, especially after the pandemic, and know she will make an impact in this world.
Q. Who is (or was) the most influential person in your life?
My daughter recently graduated nursing school. She knew how much dedication and time it took to become a nurse and she never quit. I admire her taking care of people, especially after the pandemic, and know she will make an impact in this world.
Q. If you could pass on a nugget of wisdom to aspiring accountants or consultants, what would that be?
Communication and presentation skills are foundational skills. Always continue to work on them.
