Jeff Gusdorf is a Principal in the Business Process and Systems Group at Brown Smith Wallace. He is a consultant and is responsible for IT strategic consulting and software research and evaluation. Jeff has 30 years of experience as a financial manager and technology consultant in the manufacturing, distribution and service sectors. His key areas of expertise are:

  • Business Process Requirements analysis
  • Software selection and evaluation
  • Software implementation and project management
  • Financial accounting, reporting and analysis
  • Cost accounting and analysis

Jeff’s combined experience in finance, systems and business management makes Jeff a valuable asset to our clients. Using this knowledge, he leads our software selection and evaluation consulting practice. These projects require an in-depth analysis of all business processes in order to identify the critical business process requirements that will drive the software vendor and package evaluation. Following selection, Jeff provides implementation advocacy services to ensure that our clients derive the identified benefits from their technology investments

Jeff also supervises the information collection, editing and publishing of the company’s Distribution Software Guide and Manufacturing Guide and the Technology Supplements in partnership with Modern Distribution Management, Industrial Distribution and Progressive Distributor magazines.  Jeff works closely with the senior management and ownership of the software company’s in our guide and leverages those personal relationships in conducting selection projects.

Jeff held financial and technology positions at Fortune 500 companies, Contel and Pentair, and at mid-sized privately held companies, Gusdorf Corporation and Nu-Era Group.  He left the corporate world to become the president of Financial and Computer Solutions, which merged with Brown Smith Wallace Consulting Group in 2002. The consulting firm specialized in conducting technology projects for small and mid-sized enterprises in manufacturing, distribution and professional services.

A graduate of the University of Denver, Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accountancy.
