Harvey is a Co-Founder of Brown Smith Wallace and a Partner in the Transaction Advisory and Litigation Support Group.
Harvey has 40+ years of hands-on expertise in tax planning and business consulting. He helps privately held client companies in the manufacturing, distribution and services industries plan for growth and improve profitability. Harvey provides companies with independent professional advice on transactions, family law matters, valuation, disputes and investigations. He has also prepared numerous business valuations and has provided expert testimony relating to corporate valuations. He also actively directs numerous engagements for many of the firm’s audit and tax clients.
An involved civic and community leader, Harvey serves on the boards of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis, the United Way of Greater St. Louis, the Magic House, Wyman Center, The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital and The St. Louis Men’s Group Against Cancer.
Harvey received the 2016 MOCPA Outstanding Public Service Award in recognition for his significant contribution to his community through service to charitable and civic organizations, as well as his level of leadership, innovation, initiative and involvement. He was also named a 2015 MP Elite by Accounting Today for his role as managing partner of Brown Smith Wallace. Additionally in 2015, the Jewish Light recognized Harvey as an Unsung Hero, an award that honors people in the community for their work in helping others.
Harvey earned the designation Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the designation Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
He is also a member of the following professional groups:

Harvey graduated from Washington University of St. Louis with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in accounting.
