Emily is a Manager in the Tax Services group and has more than 11 years of public accounting experience. In this role, Emily primarily serves large family groups, high-net-wealth individuals and privately owned businesses with tax review and specific client needs. Her tax compliance and accounting services include managing business and individual tax returns, preparing tax projections and researching various issues.
In addition to her work in individual and business taxation, Emily is responsible for supervising and reviewing tax engagements.
While constantly developing at Brown Smith Wallace, Emily appreciates the learning opportunities that exist with larger projects. She also enjoys contributing to the firm’s recruiting process as a key member of the SIUE campus team, in addition to serving on the SIUE Accounting Department Alumni Advisory Board.
Emily earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a Master of Science degree in accounting at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She serves on the Annual Share Angel Ball Committee for Share Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support and has chaired the Angel Ball, their main event, since 2015.
