Profile

Emily is a Manager in the Tax Services practice. In this role, Emily serves executives, families and businesses in various industries with tax preparation and specific client needs. Her areas of concentration include supervising and reviewing tax engagements for individuals as well as the real estate and professional services industries. She provides internal training and staff development, and she appreciates the learning opportunities that exist through the diversity of her clients and projects.

Emily has nearly 10 years of public accounting experience. She joined Brown Smith Wallace in May 2009 as an intern and transitioned to full-time in May 2010. Emily helps with the tax simulation for the Brown Smith Wallace IMPACT program. The IMPACT program provides accounting students an exclusive opportunity to participate in their intended field, strengthen their leadership skills and prepare for their first internship.

Emily is an active participant in the firm’s campus recruitment process at the University of Missouri – St. Louis, a member of the social and charitable committee and the co-chair of the firm’s Ronald McDonald House meals program.

Emily earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance at Culver-Stockton College.  She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MOCPA).
