Debbie is a Partner in the Tax Services practice and the High-Net-Worth Families & Individuals Group Leader at Brown Smith Wallace. As a Partner, Debbie has overall responsibility for the tax planning and consulting services rendered to her individual and business clients.
Debbie has more than 30 years of experience as an accounting professional providing expertise to high-net-worth individuals and families as well as a wide variety of industry groups, such as:

Prior to joining Brown Smith Wallace, Debbie served as a CPA for Price Waterhouse and The May Department Stores Company, where she served as Director of Taxes for the Fortune 100 corporation. Most recently, she held a leadership position with Barrie Pannett CPA, P.C., from which she brings a depth of expertise in tax planning and compliance issues to provide effective business strategies.
Debbie has expertise in accounting and taxation, including planning, preparation and review of individual, corporate and partnership returns. She also has experience preparing financial statements and consulting with clients on accounting and income tax issues.
Debbie earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Indiana University and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from University of Missouri. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Valuation Analyst. She is a licensed member of the Missouri State Board of Accountancy and member of the Missouri Society of CPAs. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).
In 2018 Debbie participated in the Brown Smith Wallace Partnership Readiness Program (PRP), which prepares selected Partners to become the next generation of firm Partners. She was promoted to Partner in 2019.
