Curtis is a Manager in the Transaction Advisory and Litigation Support (TALS) Services practice at Brown Smith Wallace. As a Manager, Curtis assists clients with due diligence and quality of earnings, purchase price negotiation, post-closing working capital and opening balance sheet engagements.
Curtis has extensive experience working with private equity firms and their portfolio companies. Curtis also assists with various financial analysis engagements including:
- Business valuations for mergers and acquisitions
- Merger and acquisition consulting engagements
- Fraud and forensic accounting investigations
Curtis was previously a Supervisor in the Brown Smith Wallace Audit Services practice. In this practice, Curtis was responsible for supervising audit and accounting engagements and for training staff. Curtis worked on several client engagements in the manufacturing, distribution, construction and software industries. His responsibilities and experience within the Audit Services practice also included preparing financial statements and auditing employee benefit plans, including 11-ks, pension, 401(k)s, and health and welfare plans.
Curtis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at Missouri Baptist University and is a licensed CPA and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Missouri Society of CPAs (MOCPA).
