Profile

Clare is a Relationship Manager at Benefit Plans Plus. In this position, Clare uses her in-depth understanding of the complexities of administering qualified retirement plans to provide annual plan administration services and technical compliance support to employers.

Clare’s experience includes eight years at a national consulting company as a senior retirement plan consultant where she served as a resource to plan sponsors and financial advisors for matters related to ERISA compliance, plan design and governmental reporting. Her experience also includes 18 years as a plan-testing representative for a Fortune 250 American holding company. In that role, she worked on defined contribution pension plans including 403(b) plans and 403(b)/401(a) combination plans as well as served as a primary consultant for corporate clients, field personnel and company personnel.

Clare has supported a caseload of over 70 companies totaling over $200 million in assets. She has also worked on specialty cases, including a large 403(b) MEP plan, multi-vendor 403(b) plan, 414(h) pick up plan, and multi-plan controlled groups. She has served as a technical resource for consultants and coordinators in regards to plan design, testing, systems and plan document amendments.

Clare earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics teaching from Purdue University. She is a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) and a Tax-Exempt & Governmental Plan Consultant (TGPC). She is also the meetings chair for the Northern Indiana ASPPA Benefits Council.
