Profile

Tony is the IT Audit and Information Security Partner in the Advisory Services practice at Brown Smith Wallace. Major projects include IT audit security, PCI consulting, HIPAA implementation services and technology attest reviews such as AICPA SOC 1 and SOC 2, PCI ROCs and AOCs, and HIPAA compliance reviews.

Prior to joining the firm, he led Arthur Andersen’s St. Louis based risk consulting practice and the Great Plains regional business systems audit practice. His specialty is bringing major company practices to small and medium-sized companies.

In his 20+ year career, Tony has managed and audited the implementation and support of enterprise systems and processes including SAP, PeopleSoft, Lawson, JD Edwards, and custom client/server systems. His previous employment experience includes several Fortune 500 companies, including Lucent Technologies, Kraft Foods and the Prudential Assurance Co.

A representative sample of Tony’s past achievements includes:

  • Leading outsourced internal audit services for many St. Louis area based companies, including a multinational chemical company, financial services companies, insurance and banking.
  • Advising on cybersecurity management approaches for major technology companies, such as Charter Communications, Maritz, St. Louis Zoo and Laclede Gas.
  • Assisting companies with the development of comprehensive Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans, including multi-national plans for RGA and Savvis Communications.
  • Nationally recognized leader and speaker on systems and security compliance in the insurance, banking and healthcare industries.

Tony studied statistics at the University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in information technology and accounting from the University of Phoenix. His certifications include:
