Ann is a Manager in the Tax Services group of Brown Smith Wallace’s St. Charles office, where her responsibilities include planning, preparing and supervising tax and accounting engagements. In addition, she is a certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor and provides consulting services to a variety of clients.

Ann has 31 years of experience as an accounting professional, which includes 15 years in private industry and 16 years in public accounting, 11 of which have been with Brown Smith Wallace.

Her public accounting experience includes working in a wide variety of industries including professional services, such as doctors and attorneys, construction contractors, including masonry, painting and  general contractors, real estate rental and development, and transportation and logistics services.

Her industry experience has given her ample knowledge of acquisitions and mergers, internal financial reporting and budgeting, performance measurements and managing a general accounting department with a staff of nine.

As a Sage 100 software accounting partner (formerly MasterBuilder), Ann has access to the Sage 100 software, training, and support system, which allows her to assist her construction clients in their internal accounting when using that system.

In her role as manager, Ann enjoys direct client contact and the challenging and special projects that come her way. Additionally, she is in a position to aggregate work prepared by the entire team and help implement solutions. Ann makes a measurable difference to her clients by fulfilling the role of trusted advisor to their business needs.

Ann earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a board member and treasurer on ALIVE's Finance Committee. She is also a member of the National Association of Women in Construction.
