Alan is an IT Audit Manager in the Brown Smith Wallace Advisory Services practice. With a background in both IT audit and network administration, Alan provides IT audit services and a wide range of skills to the firm’s clients. He serves many industries, including manufacturing & distribution, technology, financial services, education, health care and not-for-profit.
Alan’s areas of expertise include:

He has experience evaluating general information systems controls, network architecture assessments, and reviews of financial institutions for technical compliance with regulations. He also has experience with general information systems control reviews for privately-held companies and not-for-profit organizations
Alan earned a Bachelor of Science in information systems from Maryville University and is a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Windows Server 2003 (MCSE), a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator: Windows Server 2003 (MCSA) and a Fortinet Certified Network Security Administrator (FCNSA). He is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association and the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Alan is also involved in his community as an assistant scoutmaster with BSA Troop 361, Greater St. Louis Area Council and is a member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis – Child Welfare Allocations Panel.
