Show-Me-State's Quick Changes Gain On Other Captive Insurance Domiciles
Since beginning to allow captive insurance company formations in 2007, Missouri has increasingly enacted new laws and bills to put the state on equal footing with its rival domiciles. To encourage more captives to form in the state, Senate Bill 287 took effect August 28, lowering the overhead cost for businesses in Missouri that elect to utilize captive insurance companies. These changes will be most beneficial to middle market businesses.
