FCC to Accept Second Round of COVID-19 Telehealth Program Applications
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has announced that they will be accepting a second round of grant applications for the COVID-19 Telehealth Program.
Starting April 29 at noon EDT, interested not-for-profit health care providers can apply for the grant program, which will allocate an additional $249.95 million to support health care providers and patients nationwide. Applications are open for a seven-day window, closing on Thursday, May 6, at noon EDT. Applicants that were not funded during the first round will need to submit a new application.
The Telehealth Program, established as part of the CARES Act, provides grants for eligible health care providers to continue patient services during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Grants can be used for telecommunications services, information services and connected devices necessary to enable telehealth during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
