Stephanie Richter of Brown Smith Wallace Appointed Chair of MOCPA St. Louis Chapter
Stephanie Richter, a senior in the tax services practice at Brown Smith Wallace, has been named Chair of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MOCPA) St. Louis Chapter—the largest MOCPA chapter in the state with nearly 5,000 members.
As Chair, Richter will lead monthly leadership meetings, support task forces and advise and encourage members to engage in society activities. Richter will also serve as a liaison between the St. Louis chapter and the MOCPA Board of Directors. Her term is for one year. “Supporting our clients, colleagues and communities is a part of our mission at Brown Smith Wallace. As St. Louis MOCPA Chapter Chair, she is not only supporting her colleagues, but also her community. We are very proud to have Stephanie at Brown Smith Wallace,” says Tony Caleca, Managing Partner.
Richter has been with Brown Smith Wallace since 2013. She is responsible for preparing tax returns for individuals, trusts and nonprofits, corresponding with the Internal Revenue Service on behalf of her clients, and conducting projections and research to ensure the highest standards for her clients. Richter also participates in the firm’s IMPACT summer leadership program and other campus recruiting efforts.
Richter has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville. She is a member of the SIUE Alumni Association, Estate Planning Council of St. Louis, Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of St. Louis and the Junior Service Club of Edwardsville/Glen Carbon.
