Katherine Zahner Promoted to Principal at Brown Smith Wallace
(ST. LOUIS, October 4, 2017) Katherine Zahner has been promoted to principal in the audit services practice at Brown Smith Wallace.
Zahner has more than 12 years of public accounting experience with a specialized focus in providing services to the not-for-profit community. She has managed a variety of not-for-profit audit engagements, including social welfare services, health care, religious, educational, fraternal associations, and foundations.
As a principal, Zahner provides various services to her not-for-profit clients, including audit, review, agreed upon procedures, consulting, financial reporting and management recommendations, and financial statement analyses and presentations. She also provides formal and informal staff mentoring and talent development, initiating changes that improve the quality of performance within her practice.
A passionate community servant, Zahner volunteers her time in many different areas of the community, including as a board member of Aim High St. Louis and an endowment committee member of Manchester United Methodist Church. Zahner earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Mississippi State University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA and MOCPA.
