Joanne Kearbey Promoted to Principal at Brown Smith Wallace


Kearbey_Joanne(ST. LOUIS, February 7, 2017) Joanne Kearbey has been promoted to principal in the insurance advisory services practice at Brown Smith Wallace.

Kearbey has more than 18 years of public accounting and tax experience in the insurance industry.

As a principal, Kearbey is in charge of reviewing federal income tax provisions for insurance companies, including deferred tax calculations for both statutory accounting and GAAP purposes. She is also in charge of reviewing federal and state income tax returns, and assists with research as well as federal and state income tax planning projects.

Kearbey earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accountancy from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is a licensed CPA and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA). She is also a member of the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association (IASA) and volunteers for the national organization.
