Dan K. Schoenleber Promoted to Partner at Brown Smith Wallace


(ST. LOUIS, January 30, 2019) Dan K. Schoenleber, CPA, CFE, CVA, CMAS formerly a principal in the Transaction Advisory and Litigation Support Services practice at Brown Smith Wallace, has been promoted to partner, effective January 1, 2019.

As a Partner, Schoenleber assists clients through mergers and acquisitions by leading due diligence and quality of earnings engagements. He also assists clients in purchase price negotiations, post-closing working capital and opening balance sheet procedures. His expertise also includes business valuations, fraud and forensic accounting, and litigation support engagements for clients in various industries. He has extensive experience working with private equity firms and their portfolio companies, as well as transaction services for public companies.

In addition to his previous work with the Transaction Advisory and Litigation Support Services practice, Schoenleber previously served in the Brown Smith Wallace Audit Services practice, where he was responsible for managing audit and accounting engagements and for training staff.  Schoenleber worked on several client engagements in the manufacturing, software and distribution industries. He has experience performing due diligence on acquisitions with several of the firm’s largest clients.

Schoenleber is a licensed CPA, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a Certified M&A Specialist (CMAS). He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Illinois College. In 2018 he participated in the Brown Smith Wallace Partnership Readiness Program (PRP), which prepares selected principals to become the next generation of firm partners.
