Brown Smith Wallace Merges in Bergman, Schraier & Co.
(ST. LOUIS, December 11, 2015) Effective January 1, 2016, the firm of Bergman, Schraier & Co., P.C. (BS&Co.) will merge into Brown Smith Wallace in Creve Coeur, Missouri. The professionals and support staff will be joining the Brown Smith Wallace audit, tax and small business services practices.
With the merger, Brown Smith Wallace will have revenue of approximately $40 million entering 2016. As of January 1, 2016, with the addition of 13 new hires to support the firm’s organic growth along with 18 former BS&Co. employees, Brown Smith Wallace will have 280 employees and over 100 CPAs.
Brown Smith Wallace has been serving the St. Louis metropolitan area since 1972. The firm provides audit, tax, accounting, internal audit, benefit plan audit, information technology and security audit, risk management and other professional services to organizations in many industries. The firm has grown to become the sixth-largest public accounting firm in the area and the second largest locally-based firm in Missouri. In 2015, the firm cracked the rankings of the top 100 firms in the country.
Bergman, Schraier & Co., has been providing tax management, accounting services, audits and outsourced accounting and controllership services since 1982.
