Alan DeVaughan Promoted to Manager at Brown Smith Wallace
ST. LOUIS (August 9, 2016) Alan DeVaughan has been promoted to manager in the Brown Smith Wallace advisory services practice.
With a background in both IT audit and network administration, DeVaughan provides IT audit services to many industries, including manufacturing & distribution, technology, financial services, education, health care and not-for-profit. His areas of expertise include IT general controls review, SOC 1 and SOC 2 examinations, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), HIPAA Security and network administration.
DeVaughan earned a Bachelor of Science in information systems from Maryville University and is a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Windows Server 2003 (MCSE), a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator: Windows Server 2003 (MCSA) and a Fortinet Certified Network Security Administrator (FCNSA). He is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
He is also involved in his community as an assistant scoutmaster with BSA Troop 361, Greater St. Louis Area Council and is a member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis – Child Welfare Allocations Panel.
