He has more than 20 years of marketing and communications experience with expertise in health care, higher education, public sector, hospitality, sports and entertainment, consumer products and the financial services industry. Prior to Brown Smith Wallace, Tom served as Partner and CEO for Dovetail, a St. Louis-based brand communications agency. Prior to joining Dovetail, Tom worked as CEO for St. Patrick Center, one of the leading social innovation organizations in the United States. Previously, Tom was Vice President of Marketing for the Gateway Arch and Metro Transit.

Thompson joined SteadyRain from a position at Cleargroove, a St. Louis-based integrated marketing firm, where he helped develop interactive marketing campaigns, integrating both online and offline marketing with advanced measuring tools to provide clients real-time reporting on marketing efforts. His fusion of knowledge in the disciplines of design, marketing, multimedia, production, programming and quality assurance make him an asset to any strategy and any solution. In his two decades of experience in architecting, building and project managing developments for companies that include AT&T Broadband, Cingular, HBO, KFC, McDonald’s, SBC and Taco Bell, Thompson has proven his effectiveness at building solid solutions that achieve results for his clients.

As Vice President of Digital Marketing, David is responsible for creating clients’ search engine marketing campaigns, which includes search engine optimization (SEO) and paid search advertising (PPC) as well as social media efforts. David’s previous brand management experience with Fortune 500 companies, such as Target, Safeway, Kroger, General Mills, Kellogg’s, and Kraft, provided him the opportunity to develop marketing strategies that were successfully implemented in select retail locations.

Patrick Garrett

Patrick brings more than 20 years of experience developing transformational digital strategies that build awareness, drive revenue and deliver maximum ROI. Previously at FleishmanHillard, Patrick led the strategic development of paid media programs across a variety of industries and for clients such as AT&T, Beech-Nut, Feed the Children, Hallmark, Russell Stover Candies and Sleep Number and managed the agency’s global paid media team. Patrick also played a key role within GroupM’s dedicated paid search division where his team’s development of a lifestyle segmentation search model earned the Yahoo! Searchlight Award for Excellence in Search as part of an integrated marketing program.
