We help business owners or corporate executives develop turnaround strategies for troubled companies. We also help effect merges, acquisitions, divestitures and plan for the transition of companies and their owners to new ownership. Our financial analysis capabilities will support your decision making in all such transactions with very skilled due diligence.
Turnaround Consulting and Management
Proactive planning is more important than ever in this unsettled economic climate. The longer you wait, the more negative the impact.
Our professionals have extensive experience as business owners and advisors to privately owned companies, ranging in size from start-ups to companies with $250 million in revenue. We provide:
- Consulting - We'll help you rapidly evaluate key issues and formulate an action plan to improve financial results.
- Management - We'll oversee the execution of the action plan day-to-day to ensure rapid results.
- Interim Management - We'll serve as your C-level executive (CEO, COO, CFO, CIO) as you conduct a search for the right permanent person.
- Advisory Services - We'll advise your Board of Directors and senior management on a periodic basis to facilitate a turnaround.
In a turnaround scenario, we understand cash resources are scarce, and cash preservation is the first priority. Typically, the analysis and development of a detailed action plan occurs within 30 to 45 days from our engagement. Our proven process has consistently aided executives and boards in turning their companies around.

Mergers and Acquisitions
Our professionals have worked on hundreds of transactions, due diligence and advisory engagements during their tenure as M&A professionals.
Our best-practices process includes discovering the critical issues, identifying business drivers, seizing value-added opportunities, avoiding obstacles and keeping egos in check. We use our experience to develop and refine a structured process for mergers, acquisitions or divestitures.

Succession Planning
Without effective succession planning, a business may be sold or merged upon the business leader’s retirement against the intent of the business leader or family. Such an outcome can result in power struggles, family quarrels, damage to the business and damage to family relationships.
Our succession planning follows a client-customized process that includes:
- Contingencies for an untimely death or incapacitation of key family managers
- Subordinate roles, responsibilities and career paths
- Ownership percentages
- The emotional issues involved in family succession
- Strategies to keep the business interest ahead of the family interest
Exit Planning
Exit planning is a long-term process designed to help a business owner successfully withdraw from his or her business. This process enables the owner to plan for the next stage in life by getting the maximum value out of the business. Generally, the process is a team effort, involving advisors to the owner as well as the business. We serve as the quarterback, getting the complete picture and coordinating the various efforts to successfully achieve the owner’s goals.
Due Diligence
Due diligence is required when a buyer has reached the point of serious interest in a transaction and needs to expand the information base on which to base a decision. After an offer has been made, a more extensive final due diligence is quickly performed.
Our due diligence team reviews all available data, visits key sites and interviews key people. Our team has particular expertise in the detailed analysis of the intangibles, including key business drivers and miscellaneous additional transactions.
