Profile

Donna is a Partner in the Brown Smith Wallace Transaction Advisory and Litigation Support group. She has more than 30 years of experience in valuations, financial forecasting and analysis, litigation support, mergers and acquisitions as well as fraud and forensic accounting.

Donna’s professional designations include these certifications and accreditations: Certified Public Accountant, Certified in Financial Forensics, Accredited in Business Valuations, and Accredited Senior Appraiser. Her experience and grasp of the body of knowledge in the valuation discipline qualifies her as a premier strategic business advisor.

Prior to joining Brown Smith Wallace, Donna played a number of roles in public accounting and industry. Some of her accomplishments include:

  • Valued and developed creative financing for acquisition candidates as vice president and treasurer of a NASDAQ-traded manufacturer of health care products
  • Directed financial communications with domestic and international securities analysts, investment and commercial banks, business reporters and fund managers as the director of investor relations for a NYSE-traded company
  • Financed worldwide operations and administered stock buyback program as assistant treasurer of a NYSE-traded company

Donna attended College of William & Mary for two years before attending Saint Louis University, where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting and Master of Science degree with a concentration in finance. Donna also completed the Strategic Financial Analysis for Business Evaluation course at the Harvard Business School in Boston.

Donna is a member of the American Society of Appraisers, formerly serving as the vice president for the St. Louis chapter. Additionally, she is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Donna previously served as one of ten valuation experts in the United States on the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Business Valuation Committee. The group provides leading-edge technical guidelines and high-quality educational offerings to CPAs practicing in the area of valuation services.
