Staff Accountant
Job Summary
Successful candidate will be responsible for payroll taxes, sales/use tax, monthly financial statements, reconciling general ledger and account analysis for a variety of clients.
Role and Responsibility
- The successful candidate must have 2-5 years of experience in accounting services position
- Demonstrated ability in:
- general ledger month-end close
- preparation and input of monthly journal entries
- preparation and review of financial statements
- responsible for accounting reconciliations
- maintain fixed assets
- payroll and sales/use tax returns
- individudal and business income tax preparation a plus
- Strong financial statement preparation and review required.
Minimum Qualifications
- A BS/BA degree (or equivalent work experience)
- A minimum of two years relevant experience working experience
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks, Peachtree, small business software applications and MS Office Suites
- Strong organizational skills and be able to communicate effectively (written/oral) with both internal staff and clients
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines
