SOX Project Management Methodology

  • Development of Objectives, Scope and Approach
Establish the overall direction, procedures, timing, approvals and commitments of the project. Develop an overall structure to guide the project.

  • Project Management Plan
Establish a foundation to manage changes, facilitate effective
communication, provide decision support and ensure consistent project policies and procedures. During this activity, we develop metrics to monitor the quality and timeliness of the engagement.

  • Kick-Off Project
Provide an understanding of project goals and ensure effective project tracking and reporting.

  • Conduct Status Updates
Throughout the delivery of a project, we meet with key stakeholders on a periodic basis to update them on the status and to discuss key findings. This often includes monitoring budgets against actual and estimates to complete.

  • Review of Deliverables and Work Performed – Ensure work is executed according to plan, provide an understanding of deliverables expectations and focus on quality and timeliness of delivery.

  • Meet with Stakeholders to Review Results
Discuss results and findings with key stakeholders to confirm factual accuracy, evaluate risk and mitigating controls and identify approaches to address risk.

  • Project Closure
Identify activities that need to be completed in order to close out the project and facilitate reviews and acceptance to bring the project to closure.
