Brown Smith Wallace LLC

Six Step Turnaround Process

1) Assess Current Problems
We assess current problems to get to the root causes. We also assess the extent of damage any problems have caused.

2) Target Resources
As your company’s problems are identified, we focus resources toward these problem areas. This approach efficiently corrects and repairs any immediate issues that would otherwise stand in the way of a complete recovery.

3) Re-Focus the Company’s Direction
Often, the source of a company’s problem is its lack of focus. Whatever the original cause, we work to strategically re-orient your company for rapid recovery.

4) Develop and Implement Operational Plan
Several departments within a company need to be running effectively for a successful recovery; we can develop an integrated plan for human resources, marketing, sales, IT and management.

5) Develop and Implement Financial Plan
To recover successfully, a company’s finances must be in order. To ensure your company is ready, we:

  • Prepare cash forecasts
  • Analyze assets and debt
  • Establish lines of credit
  • Identify sources of new capital, if necessary
  • Review profits
  • Review R&D
  • Analyze other key financial functions to position the company for rapid improvement

6) Develop and Implement Change Management Plan
Any change can cause problems for your employees and management. Our job is to ensure changes are managed as effectively as possible to minimize the potential for disruption.
