Of course, a new system won't make bad data good. We'll test the data to verify your new system is populated with good data. A sampling of the tests we can perform includes:
- Corruption - corrupt packets of data
- Invalid data - technically invalid dates and numbers
- Missing data - blanks in key fields and missing records in sequential lists
- Duplicates - identical or similar records
- Incorrect calculations - improper rounding and inputs
- Illogical relationships - data in two fields that doesn't make sense together
- Outside bounds - anything outside specified boundaries, e.g.,:
- Dates outside set ranges
- Selections other than dropdown list options
- Locations that don't exist
- Sales to a customer not in the master file
- Product numbers that don't follow the prescribed format
