Deborah Vandeven Joins Brown Smith Wallace as Tax Services Principal

vandeven_debbie(ST. LOUIS, January 12, 2017) Deborah Vandeven joins Brown Smith Wallace as a tax services principal.

Vandeven brings more than 25 years of experience in accounting and taxation, including individual, corporate and partnership returns, preparation of financial statements and consulting with clients on accounting and income tax issues.

Prior to joining Brown Smith Wallace, Vandeven served as a Certified Public Accountant for Price Waterhouse and was the Director of Taxes at The May Department Stores Company. Most recently, she held a leadership position with Barrie Pannett CPA, P.C., from which she brings a depth of expertise in tax planning and compliance issues to provide effective business strategies.

Vandeven earned a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from Indiana University and a Master’s Degree in accounting from University of Missouri. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Valuation Analyst. She is a licensed member of the Missouri State Board of Accountancy and member of the Missouri Society of CPAs. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).
