and embellished activewear industry leaders in developing
industry standards for electronic business to business
commerce.

are in place and 90% of the 600 million garments sold
through the embellished activewear wholesaler channel

Situation After
ten years of trying to develop electronic business
to business commerce standards for the embellished
active wear industry, they were ready to give up.
Solution
Retain
Brown Smith Wallace as an independent facilitator to work with 20 different
companies (trading partners and competitors) and over
100 volunteers within the industry to develop acceptable
standards and persuade industry companies to comply.
Result Within
the first year, specific standards had been developed
and approved. Additional standards have been created
as part of a continuing process. After two and half
years, 90% of the products manufactured in the industry
follow the standards and have reduced costs, errors
and time for the trading partners.
