Staff Accountant
Job Statement
Successful candidate will be responsible for payroll taxes, sales/use tax, monthly financial statements, reconciling general ledger and account analysis for variety of clients.
Experience
1. The successful candidate must have 2-5 years of experience in accounting services position.
2. Demonstrated ability in:
a. general ledger month-end close
b. preparation and input of monthly journal entries
c. preparation and review of financial statements
d. responsible for accounting reconciliations
e. maintain fixed assets
f. payroll and sales/use tax returns
g. income tax preparation a plus-individual as well as business
3. Strong financial statement preparation and review required.
Education/Qualifications
Candidates should have a BS/BA degree (or equivalent work experience) and a minimum of two years relevant experience working experience. Qualified candidates must have working knowledge of QuickBooks, Peachtree, small business software applications, and MS Office Suites. Must have strong organizational skills and able to communicate effectively (written/oral) with both internal staff and clients. Candidate must be self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as within a team. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines.
