Senior Tax 
Job Statement
1. Assist partners and principals with tax services including planning, research, and compliance
2. Prepare income tax returns for various entity forms and high-net-worth individuals
3. Handle IRS and state authorities' correspondence
4. Manage own workload by monitoring project/return deadlines, frequent daily contact with partners, principals and paraprofessionals in assessing project status and problems encountered
5. Interact with client personnel on tax return information, dut dates, deadlines, and other compliance matters and keep staff accountants and paraprofessionals informed and vice versa
6. Recognize potential problem areas in projects/returns and discuss with appropriate team members
7. Participate in training
8. Look for opportunities to provide additional services to clients
9. Develop network of referral source through active involvement in professional and civic organizations
10. Provide creativity in evaluating tax service procedures and recommend improvements in those areas
11. Perform other job related duties as required
Education/Experience
1. Candidates should have a BS/BA degree (or equivalent work experience) and a minimum of three years relevant working experience.
2. CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
3. 5 to 7 years of experience in federal and/or state/multistate/local tax compliance work in public accounting
4. Flexible enough to handle complex assignments as well as routine tax work, both of which require hands on advanced tax experience
5. Must be able to research routine and complex tax issues
6. Must be able to work independently
7. Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills
8. Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
9. Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
10. Proficient in MS Office programs, tax-preparation & write-up programs, and online tax research
