Joanne is a manager in Brown Smith Wallace’s Insurance Group and has six years of experience in the insurance and tax industry.

She is responsible for reviewing federal income tax provisions for insurance companies, including deferred tax calculations for both statutory accounting and GAAP purposes.

Joanne is involved in the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns and assists with research as well as federal/state income tax planning projects.

Prior to joining Brown Smith Wallace, Joanne served as a senior associate in the insurance tax group at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Joanne earned her Bachelor of Science Business Administration degree in Accountancy from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She has passed the CPA exam and is in the process of receiving her license.

She is an associate member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) and the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association (IASA).
